Objectives (course unit)

Student
- masters the main operating orientations and methods of digital networking.
- can use his/her existing networks to support his/her career development and to purposefully strengthen his/her international cooperation network.
- knows his/her own competence and can utilize it in his or her studies and work.
- knows the key principles of career guidance for international professionals.
- recognizes the challenges of working in a foreign language and can cope with networking platforms using a language other than his or her own.

The student can define the main orientations and methods of digital networking.

The student can apply digital networking methods when strengthening networks that are important for their study and career.

Commendable (5):
The student has adopted the main orientations and methods of digital networking and continues to actively develop them in relation to the work environment and culture that are important to them. In her learning role, she/he has, together with others, devised innovative development processes arising from real needs, which enable the active participation of international experts and the utilization of diverse expert knowledge.

The objectives of the course have not been achieved. All aspects of the course have not been passed.

Location and time

Students can complete this pilot course at Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK). The course begins on 26th of January 2023 and ends on 31 March 2023.

The first lessons will be organized face-to-face on 26th of January at 12:30-14:30 in Tampere University of Applied Sciences (Kuntokatu 3, Tampere). Otherwise, the course takes place online. The course includes recorded lessons, communication online and independent assignments.

The course involves online assignments.

Assessment methods and criteria

The evaluation scale of the course is pass/failed. Passing the course requires that all four selected course units are evaluated to reach the level of grade 3 or higher

Teaching methods

In this course you will expand your knowledge of social-professional networking and comprehend the importance of networking and language in finding new contacts, jobs, or study places that will help you to integrate into a new society. In DigiCampus platform you will find all the contents and instructions regarding the course developed by DigiMESH project (ESF/REACT-EU funding) and its cooperators.

The pilot course will be implemented in accordance with MOOC principles through remote connections and online platforms, but the first meeting will be held face-to-face. TAMK will arrange a face-to-face orientation day on 26.1.2023 at 12:30-14:30. If you cannot attend at that time, please contact the responsible teacher at least a week before the course begins.

All materials, assignments and contents are available in DigiCampus platform between 26th of January and 31st of March.

Content scheduling

There are several video lectures and assignments which encourage students to develop their work careers and networks. TAMK's cooperators have been preparing the MOOC course together with DigiMESH project experts.
