Objectives (course unit)
Student is able to discuss and use the means of social approaches in fine art projects and knows how to produce public community-based art works. Student is able to collaborate in an international student team.
Content (course unit)
Student works as a part of community within fine art context. Student makes a presentation of community-based artwork on given subject.

Further information
Community-based Artwork is the practice of art based in and generated in a community setting.
In the course:
• Students create artistic activity within a community setting
• Works from this genre can use any media
• The activity is characterized by interaction or dialogue with the community
The course includes a main task, which is an artwork or a workshop made in a community, for example with elderly people. You can choose the technique freely for example it could be stop motion animation, painting, drawing, photography, video etc..
Each student should also make a digital zine about the community project ideas and about the project you will plan and implement.
