Objectives (course unit)

Students learn the basics and history of land use and community development. After the course, students understand the meaning of community planning as basis for architectural design. Students can analyse the community structure and produce documents to support architectural design. They understand the zoning system and zone levels, can read planning maps and recognise related markings.

Students can compose regional plan for small-house areas. Students can consider the landscape and environment as well as technical systems in architectural design. Students can make block, plot and yard layouts and related documents.

English language studies are an integrated part of the course contents.
