Objectives (course unit)

The student is able to apply his/her guidance and counseling skills when working as a clinical expert in multi-professional healthcare teams and client interfaces.

The student is able to develop guidance and counseling activities in his or her chosen area of clinical laboratory expertise by utilizing evidence-based research information.

Content (course unit)

• Guidance and counseling development in a selected area of expertise and utilization of his/her own clinical expertise within teams and client interfaces.
• Promotion of a culture of guidance and consultation in laboratory services within his/her own field of expertise in clinical laboratory work.
• Topics of research knowledge in guidance and counseling skills in his/her own area of expertise and evidence-based practise.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student is able to apply his/her guidance and counseling skills in his/her own area of expertise in multi-professional teams and client interfaces.
The students is able to use evidence-based knowledge and understands its importance in developing guidance and counseling.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student is able to apply knowledge diversely and work as an expert in guidance and counseling in his/her area of expertise in multi-professional teams and client interfaces.
The student is able to use evidence-based knowledge diversely and understands its importance in developing guidance and counseling activities.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student is able to apply the acquired knowledge excellently and to act as an expert in guidance and consulting in his or her area of expertise in multi-professional teams and client interfaces.
The student is able to develop versatile guidance and counseling activities by utilizing evidence-based knowledge and promote the development of a guidance and counseling culture in his/her area of expertise by his/her own actions.
