Pharmacology
-know the most common medicinal substances and pharmaceuticals, their purpose of use in the most common illnesses and functional disorders
-know the administration, effects and side effects of pharmaceuticals

Pharmacotherapy
-know different medicinal forms and ways to administer them to a patient
-can process medicines and can follow the dosage instruction
-know the storage and disposal of medicines
-can administer medicine p.o, s.c, i.m.
-know how medicine is given per rectum and as an inhalation
-know the factors related to safety in pharmacotherapy, including the treatment of drug reactions
-are familiar with Kanta

Medical calculations
-know how to calculate medical calculations correctly

Content (course unit)

Pharmacology:
-medicinal substances, their mode of action and side effects in the treatment of the most common cardiovascular diseases and renal insufficiency
-diabetes medicines, allergy and asthma medicines, local anaesthetics and painkillers, the most common antibiotics, sedatives and their mode of action and side effects
-interactions of medicines

Pharmacotherapy:
-basics of pharmacotherapy, administration of pharmaceuticals and drug safety
-handling, storage and disposal of medicines
-medical calculation

-can name the most common medicinal substances and pharmaceuticals
-can describe the storage and disposal of medicines
-can name the ways of administration of the most ordinary medicines, the most common purposes of use and side effects
-can name the ways of treatment of drug reactions

-can calculate medical calculations correctly
