Objectives (course unit)
The student
- is aware of his/her own values and principles and is able to describe them in relation to the values and ethical principles of future profession in health care
- knows the basic ethical values in social and health care
- follows the ethical guidelines and principles in nursing, acts responsibly as a member of the work community and follows practice guidelines
- respects clients/patients and meets them as experts and actors of their lives
- is able to support client’s strengths and well-being
-is able to interact professionally and individually with clients/patients of all ages, cultures and with different backgrounds
- is able to meet vulnerable client groups in nursing care
- is able to act in a professional and collegial manner in the work community
