Student
- Expands one’s knowledge in early childhood education through systematic knowledge acquisition
- can make a written thesis using research methods and topical research on early childhood education as references
- can present the entity of thesis and essential content orally using observation tools
Content (course unit)
- The topic of seminar work is related to early childhood education
- Familiarization with previous research on early childhood education
- The student focuses on a phenomenon of interest that is related to the work of a kindergarten teacher.
- Preparation of thesis from subject mentioned above and following to the written report instructions of thesis made in TAMK.
- Participation in data searching instruction arranged by library and learning to search topical sources of information from databases
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)
- the scope and definition of the research problem are unclear
- minor, one-sided use of source material - the topic is left to a general, superficial level
- descriptive reflection and scant connection with professionalism
- TAMK's instructions have been insufficiently followed in reporting.
- There is a lack of understanding in the text language mistakes.

- the scope of the research problem and its definition are clear
- relatively diverse use of source material
- rich and structured content - Reflecting on the key concepts of work in a professional context
- the report is good and written according to TAMK's instructions
