Objectives (course unit)

Music pedagogue
Students will have mastered playing or singing works for their own instrument representing the prescribed level and also chamber works. Artistic expression based on a knowledge of musical styles and mastery of extensive formal entities will have developed to the standard required for Recital 1. Student will be able to to utilize professional and scientific literature and also their skills in envisaging music in the development of their instrumental proficiency.

Musical theatre:
Students manage to perform a certain level repertoire. Artistic expression and knowledge of repertoire has developed to demanded, recital 1, level. Students can work and perform as a leading soloist of a band or a group. Students have advanced knowledge of different genres and required music styles from different musical periods. They can exploit professional studies and researches and their own musical understanding in their work.

Musicpedagogue
Instrumental or vocal and expressive mastery of repertoire representing the target level, including skills pertaining to ergonomic expertise and the ability to interact with an audience and , if necessary, an accompanist and/or chamber ensemble. The recital is a public concert which includes a chmber music component.
Musical theatre:
Repertoire, voice technique, expression and an ergonomic knowledge have to represent a certain, required level of know-how. Communication with the audience, accompanist and/ or the band is required. Recital is a public concert.

The student is able to demonstrate the level of skills defined in the personal study plan. artistic and technical mastery is satisfactory and developing, Sound culture is limited and and mastery of musical entities satisfactory.

The student has achieved mastery , technically and artistically, of the level of expertise specified in the personal study plan and demonstrates charasteristic features of different styles. The student`s sound culture is versatile and mastery of musical entities is good.

The student`s mastery of the technical and artistic level of skills specified in the personal study plan is of a high standard and demonstrates the characteristic features of different musical styles.in a versatile manner.

Assessment methods and criteria

Musical theatre:
Participation in teaching and organized master classes and concerts. Performance at a fall semester concert for written feedback. Recital 1 performance is a concert in which the student performs 8 pieces of selected genres. More detailed instruction for the repertoire and degree program can be found from INTRA, or your own teacher or supervisot teacher.

Individual lessons as well as master classes. Group teaching when possible. Getting to know the key musical theatre repertoire. Getting to know the different genres of rhythmic music and its characteristic features and their adoption. Preparing a concert.

Individual lessons as well as master classes. Group teaching when possible. Getting to know the repertoire and preparing the concert.

The student has mastered and is capable of presentingthe repertoire technically and artistically and brings out the charasteristic features of differenr styles.. The student`s sound culture and use of the voice are reasonably diverse and mastery of musical entities is good.

Musical theatre:
The student demonstrates not only ecxellent technical mastery but also artistic and personal power of expression.
The student`s portrayal of different styles is particularly impressive. The student has acquired a rich sound culture and controlled use of the voice and is also capable of creating interesting artistic entities.
