Objectives (course unit)
The student
- is able to act independently and in a self-directed manner in advanced emergency care situations requiring cooperation between authorities
- is able to assess his/her own and the care team’s activities in cases of individual patient care as well as in multi-patient care situations
- is able to act as a situational leader in emergency care for one or more units
- is able to act in extraordinary or unusual emergency situations according to the guidelines
- is able to work professionally and collegially
- is able to reflect on the ethical actions.

Prerequisites (course unit)
At the beginning of Advanced Level Emergency Care studies, the student must have completed 135 credits of studies. These should include The Basic Level Emergency Care skills, as well as studies in Anatomy and Physiology. Participation in courses on Advanced Level Emergency Care.
