Objectives (course unit)

The student

*Knows how to plan and execute a VFX project
*Knows how to create a VFX showreel showing competence in the use of essential production tools and techniques
*Knows how to create an application for a relevant VFX job
*Knows the essential copyright rules
*Is able to create relevant artistic elements or artistic choices for the production and analyze the production quality
*Is able to keep the deadlines and receive and utilize feedback

Content (course unit)

- A student plans and executes a project and develops his/her knowledge and skills in some VFX specialization area (e.g., a specific VFX specialist role, VFX supervisor, VFX producer)

- Showreel

- Preparing an application/CV/portfolio document for applying for a relevant VFX job

- Use of essential production tools and techniques

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student creates a beginner-level VFX showreel and delivers basic-level production quality. The student delivers a basic-level job application.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student creates a good quality VFX showreel and uses several professional techniques. The student delivers good production quality. The student creates relevant artistic elements or artistic choices for the production. The student keeps the deadlines and utilizes feedback. The student delivers a good quality job application.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student creates a professional-level VFX showreel and delivers high production-quality results with high-quality artistic elements. The student shows excellent work ethics. The student delivers an excellent job application.
