Objectives (course unit)

Student can test materials with basic methods and is able to manufacture simple pieces by turning, milling and welding.

Content (course unit)

Tensile test of steel, tensile test of plastic, jominy test (hardenability of steel), precipitation hardening of aluminium, studying micro-structure of cast iron, Charpy impact test of steel. MIG/MAG welding, machining.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student is able to help with the given tasks and report on them. Being able to afford the report and accomplish the final test is inevitable.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student performs the assigned tasks as a supervisor and reports on the core content using the standard format of technical reporting.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student acts independently and actively under supervision and reports on the work he has done on a wide scale and using professional terms. Performance at a good level from the final test.
