Opiskelija osaa
- käyttää kenttäväyliä automaation osana
- analysoida kenttäväylän toimivuutta
- suunnitella ohjaus- ja säätöratkaisuja kenttäväylässä

Content (course unit)

Prosessiteollisuuden kenttäväylät. Kenttäväyliin liittyvä diagnostiikka. Kenttäväylien suunnittelu, toteutus, testaus ja ylläpito.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

Opiskelija ymmärtää ja osaa luetella millaisia kenttäväyliä automaatiojärjestelmissä käytetään ja miten väyläverkkoja rakennetaan. Hän tunnistaa eri väylätyyppejä ja osaa kuvailla niiden ominaisuuksia jossain määrin. Hän ymmärtää välttävästi perusteet väylien konfiguroinnista.

Edellisen lisäksi opiskelija osaa selittää millainen väylä sopii millaiseen tarkoitukseen ja osaa suunnitella väyläratkaisun esimerkkikohteeseen.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

Edellisten lisäksi opiskelija osoittaa kiitettävää osaamista automaatioväylistä mm. itsenäisesti tehdyn harjoitustyön muodossa.

The exam is informed in the beginning of the course. The failed course can be compensated by passing a new exam.

Distance teaching and excercises.

Lectures, notes made by a student, other referred material by a lecturer.

Student workload

The total working hours for passing the course is 81hours (3 cp x 27 h). Distance teaching is 14*2 = 28 h and a student has to reserve about 53 hours for self-learning.

Content scheduling

The course contains distance teaching on a weekly basis. The more detailed course structure is treated in the first class and it will be available in the course information on Moodle afterwards.
