Objectives (course unit)

After completing the course, the student will be familiar with the basic concepts of statics, free images of structures,
support reactions, equations of equation, stresses and their resultant and effects. The student understands what different forms of exertion mean. The student is familiar with statically defined structures and can determine their stress patterns and dimensioning stresses. He / she is able to calculate and draw the stresses of a continuous beam and a simple circumferential structure by means of tables and diagrams and understands the effect of moving load on static quantities.

Content (course unit)

Basic concepts of statics, basic laws of mechanics and force vector. The force acting on the particle
resultant and components and particle balance. The rigid body's power system
reduction, load types, support methods, structure model, balance, support reactions and strain patterns.
Simple beams, pivot beams, beam structures, pivot mechanisms, strain patterns. Continuous beams, simple circles and arches. Grids and rope structures.

Exercise.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student is able to identify and define the basics of the course and solve simple questions
applications that are similar to the tasks being handled.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

In addition to the above, the student is able to choose the most suitable one by applying and comparing different options
policy and justify their choices.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

In addition to the above, the student has a comprehensive understanding of the course topics and their use
problem solving; and the ability to present, analyze, and justify logically handled issues and methods of solution.
