Sufficient skills in Finnish.
Mandatory participation on 50% of the classes.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)
The student communicates comprehensibly and matter-of-factly, imitating models and instructions. The student finds sources, although their use and referencing is minimal and against the instructions. The substantiation of the claims is completely absent or modest. The construction of the text is tentative, and there are points to be made in the form and style of the language.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)
The student communicates in a structured and perceptive manner in his presentations. The views expressed are justified, and the sources have been chosen appropriately, the sources have been marked in accordance with the instructions. The referencing fits naturally into the rest of the text. Essential information is conveyed clearly, and the texts are fairly error-free.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)
The student communicates convincingly in his presentations, justifying his views in a versatile manner. He uses sources in an evaluative and commenting manner. The essential information of the prepared texts is excellently structured and summarized. The language and style of the text is controlled, following the instructions and almost error-free.
