Objectives (course unit)

After completing the course the students have basic knowledge of the competition and consumer law, as well as of the intellectual property.

The students are
- familiar with the basic concepts and principles of the market law in the context
- able to apply for information of the main legal topics of the course
- able to analyze and solve legal problems of the main issues of market law.

Content (course unit)

Main topics:
- competition law and other relationships between entrepreneurs
- public procurements
- the relationship between a consumer and an entrepreneur
- consumer protection law
- privacy and data protection law
- rights to the intellectual property, such as copyright law and patent law.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student has reached the course objectives sufficiently. They know the basics of key concepts, principles and rules of this area of law and are able to apply them to factual situa-tions sufficiently.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student has reached the course objectives well, although their skills and competences are somewhat in need of further development. They know the main concepts, principles and rules of this area of law widely and are able to apply them to factual situations using rea-soned analysis.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student has reached the course objectives excellently. They have mastered the main concepts, principles and rules of market law and are able to apply them to complicated fac-tual situations using reasoned analysis.
