Objectives (course unit)
The students are able to:
- Design for specific target groups, markets and media
- Use up to date user research and usability methods
- Deepen their knowledge in user-centered design, interaction design and user interface design
- Deepen their professional identity as user experience designers
Content (course unit)
For example: Future of interactive media consuming. Advanced Contextual Design. Latest innovation in the area. Emerging trends in interaction design and user interface design.

Active participation. The quality of the deliverables and UX portfolio.

Contact teaching, team work, asssignments, research tasks, visitors.
Student workload
Reserve time for lessons and time for research and other tasks, like UX portfolio as well.

Accessibility. Emerging UX methods. UX book club. UX portfolio.
Completion alternatives
The student should talk individually with the teacher if the situation demands
Practical training and working life cooperation
The students will connect to the working life through assignments.
Further information
This course is for those who have earlier knowlegde and studies on user experience design. For example the student:
-have accomplish the other courses in ux minor (User-Centered Design, User Interface Design and Usability and Service Design) or
-have similar understanding about user experience design, UI design and usability. In that case the student should inform the lecturer about the earlier studies or work history before the course.
This course is part of User Experience Design minor.
