Getting Started on the Thesis (5cr)

Objectives (course unit)

The aim is for the student to know the process of thesis work in Business Information Systems. The aim is also that the student knows the most common methods of qualitative research and is able to produce good linguistic and style texts.

Content (course unit)

The course starts by commencing planning the thesis research. Student prepares a thesis plan. Students will also become familiar with information retrieval and research methods and apply them in their own thesis. The course also teaches the skills of written communication needed to complete the thesis.

Location and time

Toteutuksella on lukuvuoden aikana neljä vaihtoehtoista aloituskertaa jokaisen periodin alussa. (30.8.2021 klo 15.15-17, 25.10.2021 klo 15.15 - 17, kevään aikataulut julkaistaan myöhemmin).

Tutkimusmenetelmät -osan tentti (4 tenttimahdollisuutta lukuvuodessa) opetuksen aikataulussa Moodlessa.
