Software Development Project (15 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

The goal is that after the course the student is able to define the characteristics of the software in accordance with the business requirements as a project work, to design the implementation of the software and to implement it. The goal is for the student to plan a customer project, monitor the progress of the project, manage the changes and evaluate the project. The aim is for the student to carry out the project in a systematic way in view of the objectives and to develop his / her technical expertise in the key areas of the project.

The software production process.
Teaching on the subjects required by the objectives of the course and the project to be implemented.

Prerequisites (course unit)

Frontend-kehitys, Backend-kehitys ja Ketterän ICT-projektin hallinta tai näitä opintojaksoja vastaavat tiedot.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student knows how to participate in the project proposal, project plan, software definition, usability plan, software implementation and project final report.
The student is able to make work time monitoring, utilize the project tool and version control in their work.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student demonstrates a special activity focusing on a specific area or areas of the project.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student is active and excellent in many areas of the project, creating a positive atmosphere in the project team and if  working with external stakeholders.

25 % opintojakson arvosanasta: Articifial Intelligence, arviointi perustuu tehtäväpalautuksiin
25 % opintojakson arvosanasta: Projektityön vertaisarviointi ja asiakaspalautteisiin perustuva arvionti
25 % opintojakson arvosanasta: Projektinhallinta, ohjelmistotuotteen määrittely ja suunnittelu, arviointi perustuu katselmointeihin ja projektin sekä tuotteen dokumentteihin
25 % opintojakson arvosanasta: Lopputuotteen toteutus, perustuu prosessin ja lopputuotteen havainnointiin
Aktiivisuutta edellytetään koko opintojakson ajan.

-Verkkoluennot ja harjoitukset aiheena tekoäly

-Verkko-oppiminen: alustuksia ja tehtäviä ohjelmiston määrittelyn ja suunnittelun aiheista, opetuskeskustelut
-Projektioppiminen työelämäprojekteissa: toimeksiannon mukaisen ohjelmiston rakentaminen ketterässä ohjelmistoprojektissa, katselmoinnit 1-2 viikon välein

Student workload

15 * 27 tuntia. Opiskelijalta odotetaan n. 400 tunnin panostusta.

Tammi-helmikuu: 150 tuntia, verkkotapaamiset viikottain

Maalis-toukokuu 250 tuntia, verkkotapaamisia viikottain tai projektin tarpeen mukaan.

Content scheduling

Tammi-helmikuu:
- tekoäly-aiheiset luennot ja harjoitukset
(mitä tekoäly on, älykkäistä agenteista, ongelmanratkaisutavoista, tietämyksen ja datan hyödyntämisestä sekä päättelystä, koneoppimisesta, tekoälytuotteista (valmisratkaisuista)
- projektien valinta/hankkiminen, projektiin perehtyminen ja aloituspalaverit

Maalis-toukokuu: määrittely- ja suunnittelualustukset, projektien lopputuotteiden määrittely, sekä iteratiivinen suunnittelu, toteutus, testaus ja käyttöönotto. Noin 7 vaihtoehtoista projektia.

Toukokuu: lopputuotteiden viimeistely, asiakaspalautteiden ja vertaispalautteiden kerääminen
