Objectives (course unit)
Student knows the basics of the first aid and is capable of applying the principles of first aid in different accidents and emergencies.
Content (course unit)
Student recognizes emergency situations and knows the importance of immediate activation of EMS and rescue services.
Student is able to perform first aid in different medical emergencies, for example to an unconscious patient.
Student is able to perform basic life support to an adult and a child patient.
Student is able to perform basic first aid to a patient who has had or been in an accident.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student participates in all lectures/skills stations during course workshop dates and concludes the given assignments satisfactorily and correctly according the first aid principles.
