Objectives (course unit)
Student is able to
- describe the pre-analytical requirements and clinical meaning of basic urine tests and the most common puncture fluid tests, and indications for these tests
- know the identification criteria for urine particle count findings and can name and identify the findings
- apply quality management principles in their work
Content (course unit)
Basic urine tests
Microscopic counting of urine particles
Quality management and evaluation of urine particle counting
Examination of puncture fluids
Prerequisites (course unit)
The student must have passed 7B00BC49 Basic Tests II in Clinical Chemistry before the course 7B00BC50 Basic Tests III in Clinical Chemistry.
