Objectives (course unit)

Student is able to use experimental presentation practices of video art.
Student is able to use space-oriented approaches in video installations. Student is able to collaborate in an international student team.

Content (course unit)

Student experiments with video installations.
Student makes a video installation for a given space or presentation context with sculptural or architectural elements.

Minimum 80% attendance in contact studies. Active participation in the course. Artistic and technical standard of accomplished work.

Content scheduling

Duration of the course 8.4.-29.4.2020
Students will produce a plan and a demo for an advanced video installation work for the on-line TAMK Music, media and art iWeek. The video works can be 360- or other video artworks exhibited as a documented installation demo. Due to the distance learning the installation demos will be build at ones home.

Requirements: Fluent spoken and written English, Introduction to Moving Image -course passed or basic filming, sound recording and editing skills. Own equipment to film and edit.
