Objectives (course unit)
The student is able to
- estimate the emergency situation used in basic level emergency care
- safely use equipment and procedures used for the examination, treatment and transfer of patient
- rehearse to recognize patient´s immediately need of help
- on the basic level of emergency care, examine the patient, recognize the needs of emergency care, make a preliminary working diagnosis and give the treatment
- rehearse to document emergency care patient information

Prerequisites (course unit)
Basics of Emergency Care and Nursing Science, Basics of Clinical Nursing, Pharmacotherapy and Medical Calculations. Basics of Emergency Care.

Ensihoidon perusteet, Alanen et al. Oireista työdiagnoosiin. Helovuo Potilasturvallisuus ja tunneilla osoitettu muu materiaali.
Student workload
Kokonaistuntimäärä 108h/ pienryhmä. Lähiopetusta 48h/pienryhmä. Itsenäistä harjoittelu taitopajoissa 60h/pienryhmä.

Further information
Orientoivan harjoittelun tunnit ovat pakolliset ja niille pukeudutaan suojavaatteisiin. Opiskelijat huolehtivat tuntien jälkeen välineet paikoilleen, mahdolliset täydennykset ja tarvittavat laitehuolto-toimenpiteet. Orientoivan harjoittelun tunnit tapahtuvat pääsääntöisestiTaitokeskuksen tiloissa.

Hylätty. Opiskelija on ollut poissa toistuvasti ilman hyväksyttävää syytä. Opiskelija on poissa hälytysajokoulutuksesta sekä muista mahdollisista opintokäynneistä. Opiskelija laiminlyö velvollisuutensa huolehtia työtilojen siisteydestä ja välineiden kunnossapidosta. Opiskelija häiritsee tunneilla ja kielenkäyttö on epäammatillista.
