Objectives (course unit)

The student
- is able to administer the patient's medication safely and correctly by means of medical calculations and to explain the decisions he/she has made
- is able to use different databases in medication-related decision-making
- is able to perform subcutaneous and intramuscular injections in accordance with the principles of patient safety

Content (course unit)

- Planning the implementation of the patient's medication and measuring the medication into patient-specific doses
- Using different medical databases (Nursing Pharmaca Fennica, Duodecim Medical Database and Pharmaca Fennica) in medication-related decision-making
- subcutaneous and intramuscular injection

Prerequisites (course unit)

Participation in courses on Infection Control and Pharmacotherapy and Medical Calculations.
