The student
- knows the essential features of meta-research methods
- is able to describe the basic principles of effective science communication
- is able to describe the basic practices and importance of open science

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student
- knows the essential features of the methods and significance of meta-research
- is able to carry out scientific communication using the main channels
- recognises the importance of open science, knows key support services and is able to apply key principles of open science, under guidance

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student
- is able to describe the methods of meta-research and its importance for the progress of science
- is able to implement scientific communication and evaluate suitability of different channels
- is able to describe the importance of open science practices, shows interest in them, and applies methods using support services and guidance
