Objectives (course unit)

Student is able to
- guide the patient to the pulmonary function tests and take care of the welfare of the patient during the examination
- perform pulmonary function test independently
- select proper breath curves for printing
- instruct peak expiratory flow (PEF) measurement
- understand the purpose of pulmonary function tests as part of patient examination and treatment
- know the phases and meaning of clinical physiology and nuclear medicine examinations, e.g. cardial perfusion scintigraphy, in patient examination
- know the meaning of radiation protection during patient examinations

Carrying out of pulmonary function tests and peak expiratory flow (PEF) measurements and patient guidance
Selection of proper breath curves
Nuclear medicine examinations
Patient safety during examination
