Working Life Skills in the ICT Field (6 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

After completing the course, the student is able to work as a member of the development team, is able to develop himself / herself as an ICT expert and analyze the requirements of ICT industry.

Content (course unit)

Formation of a development team,
roles in the development team,
feedback discussion of the development team,
personal time and stress management
idea and innovation process, prototyping,
ICT field jobs, curriculum vitae and job application.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student is able to describe the development team's activities and his / her own activities as a member of the development team.
The student knows the basics about a stress management.
The student knows the basics about a time management.
The student is able to identify the characteristics of an ICT expert.
The student recognizes the job opportunities offered by the ICT industry.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student knows how to work as a development team member.
The student can evaluate his / her own activities as a member of the development team.
The student recognizes the signs of personal stress.
The studens is able to improve personal time management.
The student is able to grade himself / herself as an ICT expert.
The student is able to analyze the requirements of ICT work tasks.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student is able to develop the development team and his / her own activities as a team member.
The student is able to manage personal stress level.
Teh student is able to use time effectively to succeed as an ICT expert.
The student is able to develop himself / herself as an ICT expert.
The student is able to develop himself / herself according to the requirements of the ICT work tasks.

50 % opiskelijoiden tekemät vertaisarvioinnit muista kehitystiimiläisistä (toiminta kehitystiimissä ja valmennusryhmässä)
50 % alla olevat tehtävät (palautukset määräajassa)

-3x peli-ideavideota
-työnhakutehtävä (työpaikat-tehtävä + video-CV) - henkilökohtainen
-pelisuunnitelma

Lähiopetus, projektioppiminen ja ryhmätehtävät.

Opetusmateriaali koostetaan Tabulaan.

Student workload

Lähitapaamiset ovat pääsääntöisesti klo 9 - 11:30 ja 12:30 - 15. Lisäksi opintojaksolta tulee omalla ajalla tehtäviä harjoituksia.
Osa lähitapaamisista voidaan korvata muina aikoina järjestettävillä vierailuluennoilla.

Opiskelija on osallistunut työskentelyyn aktiivisesti, saa hyvät vertaisarviointipalautteet ja on toiminut aktiivisena jäsenenä valmennusryhmässä. Lisäksi hän on palauttanut kaikki opintojaksolla annetut tehtävät ja tehnyt ne parhainta mahdollista huolellisuutta noudattaen.
