Orientation and Basics of IT Systems (3 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

Students:
- know how to study using digital IT-systems at the Tampere University of Applied Sciences
- know the content of what they are going to study

Students begin to form a cohesive team where it is good to study.

Content (course unit)

Students will get the basic information of how to use information technology, which knowledge and skills they later deepen in other studies. Guest Lectures and get-to-know various jobs available in the automotive industry.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

Students are able to use basic program features when assisted and know the main features of university IT services and study program. Students take responsibility of their own studies and can work under team support.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

Students are fluently able to use Microsoft Office programs and search information from university IT-systems. They know the study program and are able to make their own study plan. Students are able to complete tasks independently and take responsibility of the team performance.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

Students are fluently able to use advanced features of the Microsoft Office programs and search information from university IT-systems. They know the study program and are able to make their own study plan. Students are very motivated and take responsibility of the team performance.

Teaching methods

Harjoituksia Office-paketin perusohjelmista: Excel, Word ja Power-Point. TAMK:in tietojärjestelmien, kuten Tabulan, Pakin ja Intran esittely. Koulutusohjelman esittely. Luentoja ja harjoituksia opiskelutekniikoista.

Learning materials

TAMK:in tietojärjestelmät kuten Intra, Tabula, Pakki ja Outlook-sähköposti. Office-paketin perusohjelmistot. Koulutusohjelman opetussuunnitelma. Opettajien luentomateriaali, joka ladataan Tabulaan.

Opiskelija osaa avustettuna käyttää ohjelmistojen perusominaisuuksia ja tuntee tietojärjestelmien ja koulutusohjelman rakenteen pääpiirteet. Opiskelija ottaa vastuun omasta opiskelustaan ja suoriutuu tehtävistä ryhmän tukemana.

Opiskelija käyttää sujuvasti Office-paketin ohjelmistoja ja osaa hakea tietoa talon tietojärjestelmistä. Hän tuntee tutkinnon rakenteen ja pystyy luomaan henkilökohtaisen opintosuunnitelman. Opiskelija suoriutuu annetuista tehtävistä itsenäisesti ja ottaa vastuun myös ryhmän suoriutumisesta.
