Preparation for Practical Training of Expert Tasks (3 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

The student:
-knows what kind of training places are available in the forestry sector
-knows how to apply for a training place and how to prepare for an interview
-knows which documents are needed during the training period
-is able to independently plan, implement and follow most important tasks in forestry
- knows the essential contents of legislation and practical guidelines concerning forestry and is able to take them into consideration in practical work assignments.
-knows the regulations concerning work safety

Content (course unit)

The process of applying for a training place, preparation for an interview. Training instructions and documentation. Repetition of forest mensuration, silvicultural methods and and timber harvesting skills in the forest. Repetition of forest legislation, forest sertification and practical guidelines. Work related legislation and collective agreements. Work safety.

Exam schedules

Opintojaksolla ei ole tenttejä. Opintojaksosta saa hyväksytyn suorituksen kerrattuaan 4 teemaa.

Kurssin hyväksyttyyn suorittamiseen vaaditaan
Osallistuminen vierailijaluennoille (70%)
Kertausharjoitukset, osallistuttava neljän teeman kertaukseen.
