Objectives (course unit)

The student:
- knows the types of writing needed in study and work as well as the relevant recommendations
- knows how take into account the receiver, the situation and the requirements of the professional area in his/her texts
- knows how to write a well-structured, understandable and convincing text
- knows how to refer to different sources and how to write a bibliography


The students know how to refer to sources and create a reference list.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student communicates in Finnish in an understandable and professional way, imitating patterns and instructions. The student will find the sources, although their use and referencing is minor. The justification of the claims is modest. The construction of the messages is volatile, and the language's form and style are noteworthy.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student communicates in a structured and illustrative way and focuses on the recipient and the situation. The student is familiar with the standard positioning of documents. The essay and report justify the views and appropriately select the sources; the referencing is naturally linked to the rest of the text. Essential information is clearly communicated. The messages are easy to receive and the texts are fairly accurate.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

Thew student communicates convincingly, enthusiastically and interactively. The documents follow the rquirements of standard positioning. In the essay and in the report, the student substantiates his viewpoint in many ways. The students uses sources to evaluate and comment. The essential information is well structured and concise, and the language and style are well controlled.

Kielenhuollon testin ajankohta sovitaan opintojakson alussa.

Assessment methods and criteria

Kielenhuollon testi, referointitehtävä ja raportti arvioidaan asteikolla 0-5.
Kielenhuollon testin painoarvo kokonaisarvioinnin kannalta on 1/4, referointitehtävän 1/4 ja raportin 2/4.

Student workload

Opiskelijalla on lähiopetusta 20 tuntia. Itsenäisen työskentelyn osuus 61 tuntia (kielenhuollon testiin valmistautuminen, tuntitehtävien viimeistely, raportin kirjoittaminen).

Opiskelija ei ole palauttanut kaikkia annettuja tehtäviä. Opiskelija ei hallitse asiakirjojen vakioasemointia. Hän ei tunne / ei osaa käyttää TAMKin Kirjallisen raportoinnin ohjetta ja/tai raporttipohjaa. Kielessä on merkittäviä puutteita, jotka haittaavat luettavuutta ja ymmärrettävyyttä. Kielenhuollon testin tulos on hylätty.

Opiskelija viestii ymmärrettävästi ja asiatyylisesti jäljitellen malleja ja ohjeita. Opiskelija löytää lähteitä, joskin niiden käyttö ja referointi on vähäistä. Väitteiden perusteleminen on vaatimatonta. Viestien rakentaminen on hapuilevaa, ja kielen muoto- ja tyyliseikoissa on huomautettavaa.

Opiskelija viestii jäsentyneesti ja havainnollisesti sekä kohdentaa viestinsä vastaanottajan ja tilanteen mukaisesti. Opiskelija hallitsee asiakirjojen vakioasemoinnin pääpiirteissään. Esseessä ja raportissa näkemykset on perusteltu ja lähteet valittu tarkoituksenmukaisesti; referointi niveltyy luontevasti muuhun tekstiin. Olennainen tieto välittyy selkeästi. Viestit ovat helposti vastaanotettavia ja tekstit melko virheettömiä.

Opiskelija käyttää lähteitä arvioivasti ja kommentoiden. Olennainen tieto on erinomaisesti jäsennelty ja tiivistetty, ja kieli ja tyyli on hallittua.
