Objectives (course unit)

Goal is that after the course the student is able to perform in the most common everyday and predictable oral language situations of working life and to communicate comprehensibly and appropriately. The student uses the basic vocabulary of his / her own field, the vocabulary of the general language required by the situation and the structures that are fairly flawless. The student is able to adapt his / her oral language usage to the interaction situation and understands the importance of language skills in international work life situations.

Content (course unit)

General oral communication situations and management of IT terminology related to employment and job search.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student
is able to tell about themselves (education, work experience, skills) briefly and introduce the basic information of a company, product and services,
communicates in expected oral work life situations, but requires help,
interprets and produces the most common business life communication situations (e.g. phone),
recognises the characteristics of the Nordic operational environment,
interprets the main points of publications of their field of study.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student
is able to tell about themselves (education,  work experience, skills) and introduce a company, product and services fairly effortlessly,
communicates fairly fluently and actively in expected oral work life situations,
takes into account the characteristics of Nordic operational environment,
utilizes the publications of their field of study.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student
is able to fluently introduce themselves (education, work experience, skills) as well as company, its products and services and to analyse key figures,
communicates naturally and fluently in various, even challenging, oral work life situations (e.g. creating and maintaining customers),
can work successfully in the Nordic operational environment,
can utilize, apply and analyse publications of their field of study.

Suullinen ryhmätentti 3.10.2019. Uusinta erikseen sovittavana ajankohtana.

Jatkuva näyttö sekä suullinen tentti pienryhmissä. Läsnäolo 75 %.

Lähiopetus, yhteistoiminnallinen oppiminen, argumentointi, esitelmät, suulliset harjoitukset ja tentti.

Student workload

Ruotsin kielen suullinen ja kirjallinen opintojakso 3 op: lähiopetus 24 h, verkko-opiskelu 10 h ja opiskelijan itsenäinen työ 35 h.
