Objectives (course unit)

The goal is that the student is able to perform in the most common everyday and predictable literary situations of working life and is able to communicate comprehensibly and appropriately. The student uses the basic vocabulary of his / her own field, the vocabulary of the general language required by the situation and the structures that are fairly flawless. The student is able to adapt his / her literary language according to the interaction situation and understand the importance of language skills in international work life situations.

General written communication situations and management of IT terminology related to employment and job search.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student
is able to tell about themselves (education, work experience, skills) briefly and introduce the basic information of a company, product and services,
communicates in expected written work life situations, but requires help,
interprets and produces the most common business life communication situations (e.g. e-mail),
recognises the characteristics of the Nordic operational environment,
interprets the main points of publications of their field of study.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student
is able to tell about themselves (education,  work experience, skills) and introduce a company, product and services fairly effortlessly,
communicates fairly fluently and actively in expected written work life situations,
is able to interpret and create common business documents (e.g. memo),
takes into account the characteristics of Nordic operational environment,
utilizes the publications of their field of study.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student
is able to fluently introduce themselves (education, work experience, skills) as well as company, its products and services and to analyse key figures,
communicates naturally and fluently in various, even challenging, written work life situations (e.g. creating and maintaining customers),
is able to interpret and create business documents in a manner suitable to the target audience,
can work successfully in the Nordic operational environment,
can utilize, apply and analyse publications of their field of study.

Exam schedules

Kirjallinen tentti to 3.10.2019 tilassa C4-04a. Uusinta kielten yleisinä tenttipäivinä XX (pakollinen ilmoittautuminen Pakin kautta).

Assessment methods and criteria

Jatkuva näyttö sekä kirjallinen koe. Läsnäolo 75 %. Opintojaksopalaute on pakollinen suoritus ja se annetaan sähköisen opintojaksopalautejärjestelmän kautta opintojakson päättyessä.

Lähiopetus, kirjalliset harjoitukset, argumentointi, essee/raportti/referaatti/työselostus, itsenäinen verkkotyöskentely sekä kirjallinen tentti.

Student workload

Ruotsin kielen suullinen ja kirjallinen opintojakso 3 op: lähiopetus 24 h, verkko-opiskelu 10 h ja opiskelijan itsenäinen työ 35 h.
