Objectives (course unit)
The student
- is able to administer the patient's medication safely and correctly by means of medical calculations and to explain the decisions he/she has made
- is able to use different databases in medication-related decision-making
- is able to perform subcutaneous and intramuscular injections in accordance with the principles of patient safety
Content (course unit)
- Planning the implementation of the patient's medication and measuring the medication into patient-specific doses
- Using different medical databases (Nursing Pharmaca Fennica, Duodecim Medical Database and Pharmaca Fennica) in medication-related decision-making
- subcutaneous and intramuscular injection
Prerequisites (course unit)
Participation in courses on Infection Control and Pharmacotherapy and Medical Calculations.

Criteria form must be filled in with hand writing before every skills station and the criteria must be taken with in order to be able to participate.Filling in the Medication Administration Record beforehand is mandatory. Mandatory tasks must be taken on paper to the classes.
Scrubs are necessary.
