Objectives (course unit)
The student carries out a thesis research and finalizes the report about his/her development project.
Content (course unit)
Independently carrying out the Master's thesis, a thesis seminar in intensive week 3, individual guidance and supervision.
Location and time
The timing of the Master's Thesis report work is typically the last 6-12 months of the studies.
Exam schedules
When the Master's Thesis is ready, the student will write a maturity test which will be written in a form of an article draft that will be evaluated as pass or fail by the thesis supervisor.
Assessment methods and criteria
The evaluation of the Master's thesis follows the general guidelines of TAMK, "Criteria for Assessing the thesis", Master's level EQF7.

Teaching methods
The Master's Thesis will be done individually or in pairs. There will be support provided by the thesis supervisor and the peers. In intensive week 3 the students will have face-to-face intensive thesis workshops and presentations to support the process.
Learning materials
The recommended literature depends on the thesis topic and objectives. First analysis of the literature will be done for the Research Plan. The literature should be checked with the thesis supervisor.
Practical training and working life cooperation
The Master's Thesis is typically a development project made to develop working life and the organisation of the student.

Thesis reports are public. Usage of nonpublic material requires a contract between TAMK and the target organization.
Students have to write a maturity test on the field of the thesis to demonstrate their familiarity with the field.
