Objectives (course unit)
The course is an orientation course to studies in the International Business Degree Programme. It introduces pedagogical approaches to studies at the University of Applied Sciences, team-working skills and the contents of the program.
After Completing the Course, the students will:
• Know the principles of studying at the University of Applied Sciences
• Be able to work in teams
• Know and recognise basic team-working skills
• Know basic conflict management skills

• What is studying at the University of Applied Sciences like?
• What is teamwork and why is it crucial in the working life of today?
• What are the different roles needed in a successful team?
• How to deal with conflicts within a team?

Pass
The student understands the requirements of studying at the University of Applied Sciences. The student understands the basics of teamwork, conflicts in teams and what it takes to be an effective team member.
Fail
The student fails to understand the requirements of studying at the University of Applied Sciences. The student fails to understand the importance and nature of teamwork required for the International Business Degree Programme.
