Objectives (course unit)

The students will have a basic knowledge of environmental technology that will be needed to carry out an independent study on a life cycle analyses of a product and to integrate ecological viewpoints to their studies in other fields.

Content (course unit)

Principles of cleaner technology applied in combatting water, air and soil contamination; natural resources and their availability; life cycle analysis and environmental impact assessment excercise, energy sources and problems; international agreements and international co-operation.

Learning goals
The students will have a basic principles of environmental technology . both on process and unit process levels.
The student will be able to identify environmental impacts of processes and tehir consequences. .
The student will be able to carry out an independent study on a life cycle thinking of a product of his choice .

Implementation method
The course comprises of lectures, group study and industrial visits.
