Assessment methods and criteria
Arviointimenetelmänä on kirjallinen kaksi kirjallista tenttiä, joissa opiskelija vastaa kysymyksenasettelun mukaan joko esseenä, lyhyenä selityksenä, luettelona tai valitsemalla oikean / oikeat vaihtoehdot kysymyksessä esitetyistä väittämistä.
Vastausaika on molemmissa 90 minuuttia. (arviointi 0-5)
HYVÄKSYTYN SUORITUKSEN EDELLYTYKSET
Suorituksen perusedellytys on, ettei opiskelija aiheuta kuvaamallaan toiminnalla, muulla vastauksellaan tai tietämättömyydellä kenellekään haittaa, vaaraa, vammaa tai kuolemaa tai käytä virheellistä terminologiaa, joka voisi johtaa edellä mainittuihin tilanteisiin.
Hyväksytyn suorituksen pistemäärä on 50% kirjallisen tentin maksimipistemäärästä, arvosanat lasketaan prosentteina maksimipistemäärästä seuraavasti: arvosana 1 = 50-59% arvosana 2 = 60-69%, arvosana 3 = 70-79%, arvosana 4 = 80-89% ja arvosana 5 = 90-100% maksimipistemäärästä. Kaikkien kysymysten vastauksista on saatava vähintään 50 % kysymyksen maksimipistemäärästä.
Opintojakson kokonaisarvosana on osatenttien keskiarvo.

Teaching methods
Contact lessons that can be supplemented with online courses and independent assignments. The Flipped Classroom method, where the student gets to know the materials of the lesson before entering the classroom. Another learning method is Constructive Learning, in which the student applies the previously acquired knowledge of anatomy, physiology and clinical physiology in this course.

Student workload
Contact studying 4 x 2 hours and 2 x 3 hours, in total 14 hours.Time for the exams is 2x2 hours. Independent studying through self-studying questions with the help of textbooks will be 34 hours.
Content scheduling
The aim is to study internal medicine at the same time with nursing care. It would be desirable, that the students will study pharmacology alongside the internal medicine course. The Radiation safety, radiography, radiotherapy and Pathology course accompanies the teaching.
Completion alternatives
Separate means of studying may be agreed upon for the students who have moved from other universities, for support students or for HOPS students, in order to enable the progress of their studies.

In the practice described in the students answer, in a practical situation, the student could cause harm, danger, injury or death to a person being treated. Student fails to answer a question and thus show lack of knowledge the subject. The student does not reach 50% of the total score of the exam.
Assessment criteria - satisfactory (1-2) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
The student knows the basics of the disease, its frequency, symptoms, examinations and their findings, as well as the methods of treatment and the follow-up of the most common diseases internal medicine. At the T1 level, the student's score in the exam is 50-59% of the maximum score of the exam. At the T2 level, the student's score is 60-69% of the maximum score of the exam.
Assessment criteria - good (3-4) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
The student is able to explain the connection between the underlying causes of diseases, symptoms, examinations and their findings, as well as the methods of treatment and follow-up of the most common diseases in the field of internal medicine. The student is also able to apply some of his / her knowledge of the above in the overall treatment of the patient. At the T3 level, the student's score is 70-79% of the maximum score of the exam. At the T4 level, the student's score is 80-89% of the maximum score of the exam.
Assessment criteria - excellent (5) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
The student will be able to apply his / her knowledge of the underlying causes of disease, their prevalence, symptoms, examinations and their findings, as well as the methods of treatment and follow-up of the disease in the most important diseases of internal medicine in the overall care of the patient at the level required by their studies. At T5, the student's score is 90-100% of the maximum score of the exam.
