Objectives (course unit)
The student is able to work independently on tasks regarding rehearsals and performance. The student is able to practice his/her own part, playing or singing together with an ensemble, as well as performing as a part of an ensemble in concerts.
The student is able to reflect on his/her performance, act as group leader and give constructive feedback to others.
Ensemble studies consists of:
- Orchestra playing
- Chamber music
-Band
-Choir
-Vocal ensemble and ensemble work.
- Lied seminar
-Oratorio
-Opera
-Production work

Content (course unit)
The student has the opportunity to independently choose various kinds of ensemble studies suitable for his/her main subject.
The student takes responsibility for practical issues, rehearsals and organizing performances. The teachers act as mentors for the students.

Teaching methods
Ryhmäohjaus, henkilökohtainen ohjaus, itsenäinen harjoittelu ja sovitun/ annetun materiaalin työstäminen, harjoitukset koreografin, ohjaajan, kapellimestarin, korrepetiittorin ja laulunohjaajan kanssa produktiosta riippuen.

Student workload
Harjoittelujaksot, itsenäisen työskentelyn osuus, ryhmäopetustilanteet ja esiintymiset. Toteutus vaatii täyspainoista osallistumista ja sitoutumista. Kuormitukseen vaikuttaa myös opiskelijan työnkuva tai rooli harjoittelussa.
