Objectives (course unit)
The student learns to identify separate phonetic elements, and to recognize them as they occur in different foreign languages. He/She learns to pronounce accurately the sounds of different languages. Focusing on one of the languages which are important from the sung repertoire point of view, the student studies the phonetic system and pronunciation both in theory and through practical exercises. He/She can understand the meaning of the texts studied with the help of a dictionary and other resources.
