Evolving Musical Skills (10cr)

Objectives (course unit)

The student has an understanding of the requirements of working life in music and he or she is able to choose a professional focus for himself. The student's musical competence has developed in the way required by the subject of the study. He is able to apply and combine knowledge in different fields and to work independently in the specialized tasks of his or her field.

Content (course unit)

The student specializes to one or two from the following competences (1-10 ECTS).
- instrumental skills
- choir leading
- music theory
- composing
- music arrangement
- music technology
- event production

The topics are related to the thesis or they can otherwise extend the student's professional skills.

Location and time

Opinnot toteutetaan kunkin opiskelijan oman HOPSin mukaisesti ja niistä sovitaan kunkin opettajan kanssa.

Assessment methods and criteria

Osallistuminen opetukseen ja annettujen tehtävien tekeminen ovat arvioinnin perustana.

Teaching methods

Lähiopetus, demonstraatiot, opetuskeskustelu, verkko-opetus, yhteistoiminnallinen oppiminen, harjoitukset, harjoitustyöt, ongelmalähtöinen opiskelu.

Learning materials

Kirjallisuutta, tehtäviä ja verkko-oppimateriaalia opettajien harkinnan mukaan.

Student workload

Työaika yhteensä 270 h. Jako etä- ja lähiopetukseen sekä omakohtaiseen työskentelyyn vaihtelee opetettavan aineen mukaan.

Opiskelija osallistuu opetukseen lähinnä passiivisesti. Tehtävien tekeminen puutteellista.

Opiskelija osallistuu opetukseen aktiivisesti ja keskustellen oppimisyhteisön kanssa sekä suorittaa annetut tehtävät moitteetta.

Opiskelija osallistuu opetukseen erittäin aktiivisesti ja tukee oppimisyhteisön edistymistä sekä suorittaa annetut tehtävät erinomaisesti.
