Objectives (course unit)
Student is able to:
- Define what service design is
- Apply different service design methods
- Design interactive services in a user-centered and co-creative way
- Use analytics to improve the service experience quality
Content (course unit)
Process, principles, tools and methods, service designer’s role, visual design in digital service design.

Preliminary dates (changes are possible): 25.10. 1.11. 7.11. 8.11. 15.11. 22.11. 29.11. 5.12. 13.12. Part of the course is organised in Tamk main campus in Kuntokatu.
Exam schedules
No tests, but assignments and presentations.
Assessment methods and criteria
Active attendance to the contact lessons, quality of the presentation and assignments.

Teaching methods
Lectures, assignments, issue based discussions, case solutions and student's presentations

Teachers will instruct about reading materials during the course
Student workload
In addition to contact teaching days, reserve time for self study and assignments.
Content scheduling
Basics of service design, Customer journey maps. Service blueprint. Prototyping in service design.

The student should talk to the teacher individually if situation demands
Practical training and working life cooperation
This course is organised together with International Business Degree Programme. Visitor lecturers from companies.
The students will connect to the working life through assignments.
