Physiotherapy for Adults 1, Clinical Practice (8 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

The students can

- choose their actions in a professional way in physiotherapy situations
- assess the effectiveness of their own activity and guidance in physiotherapy
- argue their own actions through research
- act according to ethical principles
- plan, instruct and evaluate a customer’s physiotherapy process
- document a customer’s stages in the physiotherapy process

Prerequisites (course unit)

In order to attend the module, the student has to have passed all the practical examinations of the module physiotherapy for adults 1, practical lessons and the module social and health care services in Finland.

Harjoittelujakso arvioidaan hyväksytty-hylätty.
Harjoittelujakson suorittamista ennen pitää olla suoritettuna 1. vuoden opinnot ja käytännön kokeet suoritettuna hyväksytysti.

Teaching methods

Opiskelija suorittaa ohjatun harjoittelujakson ajalla 5.11-7.12.2018 määritetyssä työyhteisössä. Harjoittelujakso on pakollinen.

Harjoittelupaikoissa voidaan antaa oppimateriaalia tuki- ja liikuntaelimistön ongelmien/kipujen syventämiseen.

Further information

The students who carry out their practical placement at TAMK’s Wellbeing Clinic prepare for the upcoming projects already before the placement begins. They complete virtual project studies for one credit and aim to familiarize themselves with the phases and principles of projects as well as planning and implementing them. One aim for this practical placement is to learn to act as an active and responsible member of a project team.
