Objectives (course unit)
Student understands basic principles and variables used in Dynamics. Student knows the laws describing the mechanical behavior of a part in motion. Student is able to analyze simple engineering problem with a machine part in motion and calculate dynamical forces acting on the part.
Content (course unit)
Basic principles and laws of Dynamics. Kinematics and kinetics of particles. Principle of work and energy for particles. Principle of impulse and momentum for particles. Kinetics and Kinematics of rigid bodies. Principle of work and energy for a rigid body. Principle of impulse and momentum for a rigid body.
