Objectives (course unit)

The student
- knows how to define an inquiry and perform a structured data search
- knows how to describe the process of a data search
- understands the meaning of evidence based practice
- knows how to search the clinical practice guidelines, based on health care
- identifies scientific/professional information sources in his/her field and can search for information systematically

Content (course unit)

- most essential national and international databases and guidelines;
- structured data search (e.g., PICO);
- evidence based practice;
- level of evidence;
- research critique
