Objectives (course unit)
•are able to promote the mental health of children, adolescents and older people and are able to critically evaluate and develop mental health care
•are able to assess mental health problems and psychosocial needs of clients in different age groups
•are able to use evidence based information when planning mental health and substance abuse care in these age groups
Content (course unit)
• mental health promotion in different age groups
•developmental crisis of children and adolescents, mental health and substance abuse problems, their prevention and care
•crisis in old age, mental health and substance abuse problems in old age, prevention and care of these problems
•early interaction and attachment relationships as a basis of mental health
•most common cognitive and memory problems in elderly and differential diagnostics
