Objectives (course unit)
The student
- is able to promote mental health and prevent substance abuse problems in different environments;
- has professional competence in meeting patients and families with mental health or substance abuse problems;
- is able to plan, implement and evaluate in collaboration with the patient or his/her family;
- has competence in facing threathening situations;
- is able to reflect his/her professional actions;
- knows the most common psychiatric illnesses, their symptoms, investigations and care.
