Objectives (course unit)
Students are able to:
-Use the most common measuring devices in telecommunications technology (Spectrum Analyzer, Modulation Analyzer, RF generator)
-Analyze the measured and simulated results obtained
-Make a measurements and prepare a report
-Apply for measurements related material from literature and the network

R&D, Simulation, RF generator, Spectrum, Network and Modulation Analyzer, Cellular Network Analyzer (1G, 2G, 3G, 4G), pre- and post-report

Exam schedules
Laboratory exam (practical measurements)in week 50/2017. Laboratory exam includes three kinds of practical measurement task measurements taken for laboratory work. Exam schedule will be announced during the week 49/2017
Evaluation methods and criteria
Working in the laboratory , teamwork, reports (pre- and post-report), accepted performance in the laboratory exam (practical measurements).

Content scheduling
Works made according to schedule in laboratory. Schedule and group allocation is made in week 35. Laboratory works will start as scheduled on week 36

Personal / group-specific extensive project work related to telecommunications. The topic and the extent varies case by case basis

The laboratory performed measurements has been designed in conjunction with the telecommunications companies operating in R & D sector.
International connections
The course is offered to all International exchange students. The number of credits will be agreed case by case basis (up to 10 cr)
