Objectives (course unit)
Students
- know how to act in working life communication situations (e.g. telephone and e-mail communication)
- know the basic business terminology and can give a presentation of a chosen company
- know the most important vocabulary of their field of study

Basic language studies in English completed or equivalent skills
Location and time
Tasks
The tasks completed during the course should not be sent or handed to the teacher unless it is specifically mentioned. If there is a designated place for returning the task in the Tabula area, the task should be returned there (not via email). You are expected to complete all the tasks during the course. If you fail to submit the tasks before their deadline, the grade you get will be lowered.
Assessment methods and criteria
The grade consists of
40% written test,
30% oral including company presentation and case study/article based discussions and vocabulary,
20% Intercultural communication task and collaboration with Hungary (gathering information)
10% assignment, and attendance.
Teaching methods
You should aim at attending all the lessons. If you have to be absent or connect remotely, let the teacher know (by e-mail) as soon as possible. You have to be present at least in 80% of the lessons.
Lectures, group activities, presentations, hands on class activities. Oral discussions about study field.
Student workload
Student will spend time practising written skills and oral skills. Devote some time for collaboration with Budapest school of Business.
