Objectives (course unit)
Student is able to
- describe the main reactions of the genetic information flow
- explain the principles of the most common techniques used in gene technology
- describe the most important laws and regulations and consider the ethical questions associated with gene technology
-perform analyses using most common gene technology methods and acknowledge the working safety and aseptic techniques in the laboratory
- document the laboratory work clearly to laboratory notebook and report the results in the form of a laboratory report

Exam schedules
Exam, date to be announced. Retake exams on the general examination days in the autumn term (29.11.2018) and in the spring term (10.1.2019).
Evaluation methods and criteria
Exam; students must achieve 50 % on the examination in order to pass the course. Grading 0-5. 60 % of the course final grade.
Laboratory report and questions related to them, grading 0-5. 40 % of the course final grade.
