Objectives (course unit)

The student is able to examine, observe and interpret their living environment and visual image culture critically. The student is able to convey observations and interpretations through photographing. Student is able to collaborate in an international student team.

Content (course unit)

The student learns the basic digital technology of photography and creates a photographic work of art. Sustainable development.

• Start of the course: aim, content, timetable, evaluation criteria
• Borrowing DSLR-cameras (Av-storage practices)
• Control of the DSLR-camera
• Saving files into a Tabula implementation
• Brief for a photo exercise 1 (A self portrait, concentrate to an ambient light and a depth of field)
• Brief for a photo exercise 2 (A milieu portrait of a friend)
• Brief for a main exercise of the course: Sketch for an Art Work
• A basic photo technique and expression lecture
