Objectives (course unit)
The student is able to

- describe the significance of monitoring for energy efficiency
- tell about the information system needs of a building
- review the devices related to automation
- identify information transfer media
- design typical information building systems for a residential building and select the necessary devices
Content (course unit)
The significance of information building systems. The components of information networks and automation, information transfer media, device suppliers and selection of devices. Documentation. Control needs. The relevant standards and regulations. Interfaces. Review of applications, dimensioning and planning. Networks of the most common systems and linking with service providers.
